紫苏籽油富含不饱和脂肪酸，是迄今为止发现α-亚麻酸（含量高达55%-65%）含量最高的植物油，具有防止表皮水份流失、柔润皮肤、帮助角质层再生等作用。有研究指出，α-亚麻酸能纾缓肌肤发炎及减少青春痘产生。因此紫苏籽油可作皮肤洗净剂、抗静电剂、柔润剂、肌肤调理剂等使用于化妆品中。
Perilla seed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. It is the vegetable oil with the highest content of alpha -linolenic acid (up to 55%-65%). It has the functions of preventing the loss of moisture from the epidermis, softening the skin and helping the regeneration of the stratum corneum. Studies have shown that alpha-linolenic acid can relieve skin inflammation and reduce acne.
